Lura joins Jury of 2019 International Brahms Competition, Piano Division

Pleased to announce that this September I will return to the Brahms Competition again, in a new capacity.

In 2015 I was the Second Prizewinner, as a member of Duo Baltinati with cellist Ilya Finkelshteyn, of the Chamber Music Division of the competition.

After winning the prize, I joined the Competition’s staff as pianist for the Chamber Music Round of the Cello Division, playing Brahms Sonatas with all the cellists who survived the First Round of the competition, thereby helping the judges whittle the field down to three finalists who advanced to the Final Round.

This September I will return to the Competition once again, this time as a member of the jury for the Piano Division.
