About the Performance
Jack Everly returns to BSO Sessions for a performance featuring the music of Spain as interpreted by a Spanish, a French, and a Russian composer. Albeniz' Córdoba, a standard for classical guitar, is here beautifully arranged for orchestra by Maestro Everly. España, a fast and light-hearted rhapsody, was written by Chabrier after a vacation through the south of Spain. Don't miss Shchedrin's Carmen Ballet, a masterful reimagining of Bizet's famous opera. Familiar melodies are reworked in ingenious ways that frequently highlight the talents of the percussion section. Spend an hour mesmerized by the effervescent energy of these pieces and Jack's quintessential charm.
