Music in the Great Hall was founded in 1973, making it the longest running chamber music series in Baltimore. Lura was appointed Artistic Director in June of 2009, and the series now has its home in the Towson Unitarian Universalist Church in Lutherville, MD, just outside the Baltimore Beltway.

To cultivate an ever-growing audience for chamber music in the Baltimore metropolitan area through the presentation of exceptional performances in a unique and intimate setting.
